- A hot glue gun
- Lot’s of appropriately sized hot glue gun sticks
- Good set of scissors
- A book of scrap booking paper. At most crafts stores there is usually a bulk-type book you can purchase with lots of colors and patterns.
- Twine or rope
- Regular glue sticks
- A starter kit of paints, with standard colors
- Markers, colored pencils. Not to be touched and played with by kid’s!
This list can get you started. The thing to remember is, I did not have a “craft starter kit” when I began creating things for my home. I simply had left over supplies from crafts that I made. Eventually I got a stock pile going. So don’t feel like you need to jump in with a bunch of things at your ready. As you start seeing what crafts you gravitate towards, supplies you use. Then you can begin buying when things are on sale, or if there is a coupon for them. You will find your way and will be crafting on the spur of the moment too! Good luck!
