To see a video tutorial of how this simple wall art is created, you can see that here.

Dale here, posting on Emily’s behalf, she is a bit under the weather. We just wanted to let every one know about Emily’s post that went live on Homedit, canvas wall art. She created these two canvas art pieces in one afternoon, they turned out really nice. I have them displayed in my office, I have the first Emily Burmeister originals in my office. Yes, it makes me special. Go see her easy way to update your wall.
* I was told to do the post

The canvases look amazing!
He did a good job, that would be great to have you over Sarah! But I would have you wait until I get better so we can have fun instead 🙂

I got a good guy, but there was still some convincing that he could do the post. He did good though 🙂

What beautiful pieces; Emily, you truly have a gift for decorating. I hope you're feeling better soon!
Wow, thank you so much! I enjoy decorating my home and doing it in a simple way so that others can do it as well.
Beautiful result and a great idea!
Thank you!
Emily, I hope you are feeling better. A sick momma is never a good thing to happen to a house! As you know, I LOVE these.. And, Dale, let us know if you are available for other guest posts! Emily could start hiring you out!
Thank you, my writing skills can not pay the bills, but we are looking to start to let me out a bit more and help with the coding side of other peoples blogs for a small fee. I am just slow at getting things done (my site, the laundry room, all the unfinished project, etc)
Thank you Kim, it is hard being a sick Mom, but I am feeling better now. I will pimp Dale out to other blogs. I don't just have to keep him for myself 😉
Dale, you do a ton! And I think once you get things organized you will do great in helping others with their coding problems. You are college educated to do it after all!
I too hope you are feeling better very soon! Dale great job posting! Emily, what talent you have! Take care both of you and thanks for sharing your creativity with the world!
I am feeling better now! Thank you so much, I am loving doing so so much!
Love the canvas wall art!! Great job!!
Thank you so much, I enjoyed doing this simple project!
gorgeous.. Love these
Thank you 🙂
Nice art, and nice husband too. 🙂
Thank you! He is a really great guy who helped me in my miserably sick state.
ok, now I have to make these!
Do it! They were so simple, the full tutorial is at Homedit. I am not a paint on a canvas type of person and I managed to do this.
Beautiful! Want. 🙂
Make it, you can customize colors just for your home's needs.
Awesome! What did you use for the shapes?
I put another picture up for you in this post.It shows me using a paintbrush and then smooshing it down on the canvas. By the way, smoosh is a very technical term 😉 The article at Homedit breaks down any tips I did to make this work.
I think this looks really nice, and not too complicated. I'm not sure I could pull this off, but I kind of want to try!
You should try it! You can always try it on a piece of paper like I did to see how it works. I am no a painter, well a paint on canvas kind. I paint furniture, this was the first time since high school I have painted on a canvas. Give it a try! Good luck!
Feel better! I plan on filling my home with art this summer! Love that!
Oh, sounds like fun!
I love how you pulled the whole look together, I pinned!
Thank you so much for the kind words and support!
This is beautiful! And I hope you are feeling better!
