I have to say, I kind of fell into this whole design thing out of necessity because I wanted a beautiful home for my family. With that being said looking back I do know I was a little odd in how I was interested in houses and decorating. When I played barbies I always drew out their floor plan of the house if I did not have a Barbie house to play in. When playing house with my cousins I went around explaining in my head what our house looked like before we could play. But I have to say the thing that sticks out most and I should have known I would become obsessed is the Father of the Bride house in the movie with Steve Martin. I love that house, loved it then and love it now. It was everything I ever dreamed and more. So beautiful, warm, welcoming, grand, and just perfect. I know I am not alone in the fact that I loved this house. It stuck out to me and I watched the movie over and over for the sake of seeing that house, and seeing the wedding decorations. See the signs were there. I guess it is something that stuck with me, I always pay attention to the houses in movies and TV shows but this one has a wonderful special place in my heart.
