Wood pallet hanging planter, Homedit article

It is officially summer, we have hit 80 degrees here and my hair resembles Hermoine from the Harry Potter movie, the first one. Google it, I have some hair with my frizz because of the humidity. But, it is still SUMMER! Every time I say summer I have in my head the sing song voice of Olaf from Frozen, singing “In summmeerrrrr…” I am sure I am not the only one with kids who has this happen when summer is mentioned.
Anyways, with summer here it is time to get my outdoor space ready to enjoy. I made this wood pallet hanging planter. I am sharing the tutorial over at Homedit today. It was a simple project, with simple cuts to the wood. This is my kind of DIY project!

This yellow just makes me so cheery! I will be sharing my outdoor home tour, all of the flowers and projects I have done. I will also be sharing a newly updated house tour, with a surprise for you guys. It will involve other blogger’s. I am excited! This hanging planter fits in nicely with my front porch outdoor space. Head on over to Homedit and check it out!
It is Friday! What is everyone doing this weekend?

  8. Love the cheerful purple + yellow combo. Super cute! And I get Hermione hair with the slightest bit if humidity too. Beach days always = hat days for me 😉

    • Ugh, you are a fellow frizzy person. Sorry. I just let the frizz fly in summer, I rock it. I feel like I am in one of those 80's rock bands, except I have zero hairspray in my hair.

  9. I always love your projects. I love this hanging planter and the bright color!

  12. I love this and love the color!! Now I have the summer song in my head too..:)

    • Ha ha, sorry to get the song stuck in your head. MY husband and I like to annoy our kids and sing it really loud and off key. Not that we have to try to sing off key.

  13. That is so cute and cherry! So happy I found your blog…It is super cute!

  14. This planter is so pretty and I love the bright yellow!

  15. The color is great! Im always wanting to make things like this but Im just lazy. Good job on all your projects!

    • Thank you so much! I am naturally a lazy person, if I sit down I am down for the count for the rest of the day. I have to keep going, the couch potato in me comes out.

  16. I love the color and how beautiful this plant pallet holder is. It absolutely brings out the summer, with the color and flowers! I wish I was creative like this! Love your projects!

  17. HAHAHAHAHA Emily! I love the Hermoine reference. I say that my summer hair resembles Monica's from Friends during the episode they attend Ross's conference in Barbados! Love the planter especially the bright yellow color.

  18. SO pretty! I love it! We need some ways to "cheer up" our outside, and somehow i can manage small groups of flowers, but a whole garden… eek! This is fantastic!

  19. This is so lovely and your blog is also beautiful.

  20. Love the color! I see that it matches the yellow chair in the background.

  21. That yellow is one of my favorite shades! I have it all over my house. My husband hates it. 😉

    • Ha ha, I love that you have it around the house anyways. MY husband just commented that he does not mind the super bright colors on the outside of the house. Outdoor furniture can be bright yellow. Inside he needs a little more light colors. Less in your face. How can you not love yellow?!!!!

  22. OMG …that's so freaking cute . I love it and the color is beautiful! Pinned!!
